"Daisy" completed her Championship at eighteen months with two Breeds and a Group placement along the way. She is pictured above going RWB from the 12 to 18 month class under breeder-judge Barbara Rupert at the AWC Regional Specialty. The same day she was BOS in Sweeps under breeder-judge Terry Taft.
Daisy was bred by Anita Backlund in Finland but is mostly US bred with a dash of Hardknott and Peperone.

In 1957, we returned from England to Burlington with Fly, the foundation of Flyalong Whippets, and a Volkswagen. No one in Vermont recognized either of them! The VW "beetle" is long gone, but we have continued to enjoy this wonderful breed for 40 years, and Whippets have obviously thrived here, as we can see this week.
Fly taught us a lot about Whippets; he would have been proud to see a National Whippet Specialty held so near his first home in America. We wish everyone a happy and successful week here!
