AWC Versatility Award Requirements

The AWC Versatility Awards are for whippets owned by AWC members.

There are four different awards:

CAVX	Champion Award of Versatility Excellent
AVX	Award of Versatility Excellent
CAV	Champion Award of Versatility
AV	Award of Versatility

The requirements for the AV / CAV are:

A minimum of 10 points must be earned
3 points must come from Obedience
1 point must come from Coursing OR Racing
Points must come from at least three different groups (excluding Miscellaneous and Rally)
You may use only ONE achievement in each category (except Miscellaneous)
A maximum of 2 points can come from Miscellaneous
A maximum of 5 points can come from a single sport or related group of sports. For example, Rally and obedience are related sports.

The CAV will be awarded to bench champions who have completed all the requirements for an AV.

The requirements for the AVX / CAVX are:

An Award of Versatility (the AV or CAV may be applied for at the same time as the AVX or CAVX with the same achievements used to qualify for both awards.)
A minimum of 15 points must be earned
3 points must come from either Coursing OR Racing
At least one point must come from Agility, Tracking, or Flyball
At least one category must have a minimum of 4 points
Points must come from at least 4 different groups (excluding Miscellaneous and Rally)
You may use only ONE achievement in each category (except Miscellaneous)
A maximum of 3 points can come from Miscellaneous
A maximum of 7 points can come a single or related group of sports. For example, Rally and obedience are related sports.

The CAVX will be awarded to bench champions who have completed all the requirements for an AVX.

If a dog is deceased at the time of application, the owner has until the end of the calendar year FOLLOWING the year of death to complete and submit the application.

Miscellaneous

All Miscellaneous items are worth one point. More than 1 achievement can be selected from DIFFERENT numbered items. 2 points maximum can be applied to the AV/CAV, 3 points maximum can be applied to the AVX/CAVX.

1.	AWC Triathlon or Versatility Competition Winner
2.	Best in Show (BIS), Specialty Best In Show (SBIS), or National SBIS, NSBOS, NSAOM or Specialty Hound Group Winner
3.	AKC or ASFA Best in Field
4.	Race Meet Winner
5.	High in Trial Obedience
6.	Registered Therapy Animal (20 hours service)
