Ch. Sowagla Quick Silver to Taejaan My beautiful and sweet blue brindle boy, Myles, finished in April of 2005. On the way, he won big with three specialty 4-point majors. First the Potomac Hound Club, then the MAWA Independent Specialty and the Southern Specialty, all breeder-owner handled. He also won two Awards of Merit; one is pictured above with judge Sharon Saxon. Myles’ pedigree is a combination of foreign (Australian and English) and American bloodlines. He is small in stature, exudes whippet type and excels in depth of brisket and smooth, sound movement. His first litter was born in August and I have retained a blue fawn bitch, Sowagla Pale Amber, for my breeding program. Myles is BAER, CERF and Cardiac normal.
Sowagla Sportingfield Sunbonnet Bonnie is pictured above winning a 5-point major at the AWC Supported Entry in Winston-Salem, NC, with her new handler and co-owner Justin Smithey, under breeder-judge Julie Holm. Bonnie was already major-pointed, with a BOB and a Group 2, and now needs just 3 singles to finish. Bonnie’s breeding is Ch. Sporting Fields Rock On, JC x Ludah’s Wyn N Sportingfields, a Luke granddaughter, and was co-bred with Debbie Butt of Sporting Fields. Watch for Bonnie this year with Justin - you can’t miss her fabulous face, long neck, curvy body and lovely movement.
Solo’s sire: SBIS Ch. Mimbre’s Zuni Warrior (Ch. Allerei’s Tax Refund, FCh. x Ch. Mimbres Alerek Britta Frank) May the force be with you! We are expecting a litter sired by Solo with our lovely Drake daughter, FeFe
(DC Chelsea Long Kiss Goodnight, FCh. x Ch. Adagio Jilzan Queen’s Knife, SC) Velvet finished with four/all majors! Thanks to judges Dorothy MacDonald, Valerie Hamilton Preston, Judy Doniere and Roger Hartinger! Fall 2005 - Velvet was finally not in season during a lure trial, earned her JC Look for an exciting litter planned from Velvet in 2006!
(Ch. Summit Sir Yvain, JC x Ch. Rushing Wind de Sud) Odie ended 2005 with ten points, both majors, from the bred-by-exhibitor class. Look for him to finish and sister Mari to come out strong in 2006! Congratulations also to sister Journey (Adagio Jilzan Mars Sojourner, Dwight & Paula Caffee), on her first points and on a very good start to her lure coursing and racing careers! This litter turns two years old in January ‘06 - we think they’ve done well for their young age!
