At the time of this writing, Hootch already boasts a 5-point major under breeder-judge Nubby Errickson and a 4-point major by winning the Breed over five specials under hound authority Dana Cline. I have high hopes for this typey, beautiful male, who has much to offer the fancy.

A brief history of GROVENOR
Our first whippet, Seyberne’s Lady Guinevere, CD, came to our family in 1965 and Guin and I immediately adopted each other. We bred our first litter in 1967, which produced two champions and a BIS winner. What started as a family endeavor evolved into my mother and me. Following my mother’s death in 1996, I moved to Arizona in 1997, where I am continuing with our line, which is based on some of the great whippet immortals: Fleetfoot, Barndance and Whirlaway.
The whippets are my first love and my life’s work. I breed on a limited basis, with each litter carefully planned to move the line forward while never forgetting the great whippets on which we based Grovenor.

and dam of Oakcrest Special Treasure, owned by Ruth Brown.

In memory of

Grovenor’s On Target
May 22, 1994 - May 29, 2004
Target was in semi-retirement with a loving family when tragedy struck.
She was taken from their yard, but managed to get away from her abductors.
She was trying to get back home when she ran into the street and was struck by a car.
In limited showing, Target had both majors and a number of major reserves.
She produced one litter. Her stamp can be seen in her children and grandchildren.
Target. Gone too soon. We love you and miss you.
