(BISS Ch. Locar’s Martini On The Rocks, ROMX x Ch. Oxford’s Passion, ROM)

You were known by many as the whippet who could move. To me, you were my LOVE. We shared many things in life, from the trials of being lost, to the joys of your kids. You will live forever in my heart and in the pedigrees of many to come.

Select Ch. Windrift de Sud
(SBIS Ch. Festiva’s Knickerbocker, ROMX x Ch. June Bug de Sud)

We aren’t sure why it took us so long to get here, but we are certainly loving the wonderful world of whippets! 2003 was incredibly nice - multiple breed wins and group placements for both Aspen and Sara. Many thanks to Kathy Armato and Sue Vernon for sharing these exquisite girls with us.

2003 was a good year for Blue Willow!

“Willi” (Jade’s Wind in the Willow) finished her CD obedience title with a 3rd place ribbon at an all-breed show in Novice B under judge Michael Carlucci. She also worked hard in Agility, receiving two 2nd place ribbons in Novice Standard and finishing her novice Standard Title. She has one leg of her JWW. Willi is working on her dum-bell technique and will be competing in Open B in Obedience at the National and Open Standard in Agility.

Willi loves to straight race, though she has more heart than speed. This year she won the coveted “turtle award” at the CWA National. The pretigious trophy is a memorial to a therapy whippet named Willow. Willi will be back next year to try for the turtle again!

“Gogo” (Blue Willow’s Vertigo) finished his Novice Standard Agility with a first and second placement and has two legs toward his JWW title. Gogo is a quiet, unassuming couch potato who loves agility and is patient enough to wait for his owner when she lags and speedy enough to qualify on a consistent basis. He generously ignores it when I call the teeter a tunnel, or the tunnel a tire, or the table a dogwalk . . . Watch for him in Open Agility!

“Tabor”

August 11, 1998 - June 14, 2003

(NSBIS, MSBIS, Ch. Elysian A-Few Perrier, LCM, ROMX x Micsar Cherché Texas Tornado)

Ch. Cherché The Matchless, FCh, CR, CGC

This summer the brightest light in my house went dim when I lost Tabor.
He left us at much too young an age . . . in the prime of his life.
He never knew a stranger,
was always happy,
always game for anything.

He is deeply missed, as is his exuberant love of life.

A heartfelt thanks to Glenda Durance for her selfless gift of this great dog.

“Elliott”

January, 1988 - April, 2003

Sporting Fields Frusen Gladja,
CDX, FCh, SC, CGC, TDI, AV

In the course of one lifetime, I was honored to have known such a kind
and gracious friend. Elliott was my first whippet, my very first dog.
He is the reason I know most of you.
He was an ambassador for the breed, a true gentleman in every way, a gentle soul.

He did many things in his life, but his loyalty and loving
support of me are the ones I will remember most.

Dr. Lisa Costello

“Dutch”

(HIT Ch. Fantasy’s Divine Decadence, CD, LCM2, NA, NAJ, SC, CGC x Ch. Cajen’s Coquette)

Wildhare Cowboy Cadillac, CR

Equally as comfortable on the field as in the ring, Dutch enjoys many venues of performance.
At his second show, he won a five-point major during the North Central Specialty weekend,
under judge Sharon Krogh, and won the Open class at the specialty, under breeder-judge
Russell McFadden. We are looking forward to the coming year!

Watson put in an active year at flyball tournaments achieving his Flyball master title.
There are 111 whippets active in flyball - only 33 have attained the FM title. Watson has added obedience training to his weekly routine, on his way to the Award of Versatility.

What a fun dog!!
