Ch. Chaparral Corazon,
CDX, LCM, SC, OA, OAJ, TT, CGC, CAVX

August 26, 1987 - May 15, 2002

CORY loved coursing more than anything in the world! She was still running in 2001 at age 13! CORY also enjoyed obedience and agility, and was one of the first Whippets to earn an AKC agility title.

Some of Cory’s accomplishments:

• Finished CH completely from the Bred-By-Exhibitor class
• Multiple Group placements as an owner-handled Special
• Champion son and daughter; another daughter just needs a major
• Winner of the first AWC Triathlon
• First AWC C.A.V.X. (Champion Award of Versatility Excellent)
• Exceptional house dog and traveling companion

In Vogue Presents . . .

“Judge”

Ch. In Vogue’s Rush To Judgement, ARX
(SBIS DC Chelsea Gold Rush of Keynote, ROMX, FCh. x Ch. Halmarque Up and In Vogue, LCM, DPC, TRP)

We are very pleased with Judge’s performance, both in the ring and on the track. A race meet winner and a CWA Top 10 competitor in 2001, he spent most of his time last summer at the shows finishing his bench championship. We told Judge that if he finished in the ring, he could go back to running, so watch for him on the track and in the field in 2003!! Way to go, Judge-buddy!!!

Ch. In Vogue’s Man From U.N.C.L.E.

“Vaughn”
(Ch. Affinity Maybe He Will, FCh, CGC x MSelect Ch. In Vogue’s Miss Fortune, LCM, DPC, TRP, FDX)

We are thrilled with Vaughn’s success in the ring, finishing quickly with 3 majors. In his short show career so far, he has garnered the following wins:

Two 5-point majors
A third major with WD at the AWC Supported entry in Duluth
WD and Best Puppy at the first North Central Specialty
BOB wins his first two times out as a special

We are looking forward to competing with him at straight line racing and lure-coursing next year, along with specialing him selectively, as time permits.

In Vogue’s That Girl

“Helen”
(Ch. Affinity Maybe He Will, FCh, CGC x MSelect Ch. In Vogue’s Miss Fortune, LCM, DPC, TRP, FDX)

Vaughn’s littermate, Helen, has also been doing quite well in the show ring - at just over one year of age, she needs a major to finish. We were very pleased when she was awarded a 5-point major under judge Michelle Billings, and a Best In Sweeps under judge Lisa Costello. She has also won several BOB’s over specials!

We love to watch her easy side-gait floating around the ring . . . as people ask - Who is THAT GIRL ???

Hail To Caesar

BIF Halmarque Santa Cruz, FCh.

(Ch. Plumcreek Come Fly With Me x Halmarque Up-Sa Daisy)

Caesar had a successful year on the coursing field. He finished his ASFA Field Championship, winning Best In Field on November 2, 2002, at Nebraska Coursing Association, Fremont, Nebraska. His strong running style should make it easy to complete his LCM.

Keep an Eye Out For . . .

I Spy

In Vogue’s I Spy

(Ch. Affinity Maybe He Will, FCh. x Ch. In Vogue’s Miss Fortune, LCM, DPC, TRP, FDX)

ISIS performs elegantly in the show ring and on the coursing field. The weekend following her first birthday, she won a first and second placement on her first weekend running. In the ring, she placed second at the North Central Specialty in a large, competitive puppy bitch class. her big, open side gait combines with elegance to form a striking outline. I’m looking forward to showing and running her next year!

In Style ~ 2002
The whippet gang at In Style had another fun year in 2002. They went lure coursing a lot, straight racing some, and certain members continued in flyball.

Bond continued his flyball career with special training in Canada this summer, learning the “swimmer’s” turn. We are looking forward to a great 2003 as he begins regular competition. We also hope that fourth 1st for the LCM title is just around the corner early next year.
