Wistwind ~ 2002
Wistwind’s Finesse

(Marial Wistwind Color Me Quick, TRP, ARX, FCh x AmCanCh. Wistwind Renaissance Rose, LCMIII, CanFCh.)
Continuing in the Wistwind tradition of versatility, Finesse competed and found success in a wide variety of venues in 2002. In VERY limited showing, she collected a couple of AKC points and went to her first Show and Go in St. Agatha, Ontario, sponstored by OLCA. She came home from Canada with points from the field trial . . . AND . . . a BOB, WB, and BOW for 4 points over specials under judge Charles Cyopik!! Her sire, Quincy, was RWD at the same show.
Her first ASFA outing in October resulted in 70 points, a 2nd place, a BOB, and a Best In Field (see photo below). In CWA, she picked up 2 DPC points and ran quite well for a newbie.
She hopes for continued good health and to enjoy more athletic events in 2003.

Merrithoughts Tornadique
& Merrithoughts Feminique
(Ch. Laura’s Ashly Baroque, BIF FCh., SC x Ch. Patric’s Insinuation, BIF SC)
Two beautiful littermates from the “Slim Shady” litter. Cooker and Jinga (pictured with judge Stan Halley) are both pointed in the ring, along with their brother Que (Merrithoughts Point Blanque). They all love to course and need to be entered in competition like their sister, Trique (Merrithoughts Eletrique Eel, BIF FCh.). Congratulations to co-owner Barbara Rooney for finishing Trique in grand style. We are proud of them!

Merrithought’s Must Be Terrifique
(Ch. Laura’s Ashly Baroque, BIF FCh, SC x Ch. Whisperun’s Must Be Contagious)
Treva really is terrific! This stunning bitch has been maturing nicely, but slowly.
She is just now being brought out in the show ring. Soundness and type with a sharp mind.
Treva promotes the breed in a favorable fashion whenever she is seen.

Garrett is the puppy that steals carrots from Liam’s garden. He is pure show dog, but likes the “bunny” too. We are having fun with him, winning nearly every time out.
Special thanks to Mary Dukes for sending me this wonderful puppy.
We hope to incorporate him into our breeding program upon maturity.

Liam & Whisperun’s Cindy Lou Who
This is Liam’s best friend. She does everything with him. “Lou Who” is so charged up that she is a bit difficult to show. Thanks go to all the judges, our fellow exhibitors, Anna Stromburg and Michael Cannalizo (handling class coaches) for all of their patience!!!
When Liam learns to show this bitch, he will be able to show anything!

Ch. Upper Mountain
Spirit In The Sky, SC
(BIS SBIS Am.Can.DC Sportingfield’s Jazz Fest, SC, ROM x Ch. Upper Mountain JB’s Phantom, SC)
|
|
This past year was especially exciting, as Eli was awarded several Breed wins multiple Group placements in tough East Coast competition, including those pictured above under judges Robert Stein and Judy Webb. He is also proving to be a keen courser and has a 5-point major toward his AKC Field Championship. And if these accomplishments weren’t enough, he is also producing some beautiful and sound offspring. Thanks to fellow breeders Kim Tudor-Fredericks (Laurel Chase), Brenda and Kourtney Murray, and Kim Gonzales (Speedy G) for your confidence in breeding your lovely bitches to Eli. Please see his pedigree in the subsequent section of this Annual.

Upper Mountain Amazing Grace
(BIS SBIS Am.Can.DC Sportingfield’s Jazz Fest, SC, ROM x Ch. Upper Mountain JB’s Phantom, SC)
Gracie is closing in on her championship and is now looking for her last major. Her first major win, pictured above, was under breeder-judge Stephen Hurt at the prestigious Devon Dog Show Association. Gracie also has Breed wins to her credit from the classes. We appreciate all of the kind compliments that we have received from fellow breeders about our beautiful young girl.
Both Eli and Gracie are expertly handled and loved by Kim Tudor-Fredericks, with help from husband Jim. Watch for Kim with Eli’s first two children, Aaron and Amy (out of Laurel Chase Windrift) during 2003.
