| Ch Milescross Elandan Starlight (Ch. Locar’s Baccarat x Milescross Lady From Shanghai) “Twinkle” went up to Renée in Alaska in March, and as a testament to the conditioning and care she received, finished her championship in consecutive weekends, with a Group II along the way! Twink has taken some time out for a litter by her cousin “Risky” (Ch. Claymar’s Major Attraction), but she will be back out in 2000, showing off in the snowy north, as well as in the Lower 48.

Ch Milescross Elandan Sonnet, JC (Ch. Starline’s Reign On, ROMX x Locar’s Créme De Cocao, JC) “Amie” has proved a versatile winner, gaining majors in both top California and Eastern competition. She took time out for an interestingly bred litter on the way to her title, and several of her winning kids are featured on the next page. Her breathtaking beauty has served her in good stead as an aspiring artist’s model for Chris, but by far her most important job is as “best buddy” to her family. A special thanks to Jan Swayze and Grahm Pence for showing her to that big East Coast major!

Grand Prix’s Demi Mondain “Bella” is beautiful! Our pure white bombshell has proved to be a favorite everywhere she goes. She topped the hotly contested 9-12 class at the AWC Western before taking some time off to recover from a nagging injury to her leg. Now she’s totally recovered and ready to go. In 1999 “Watson” had a great time. He competed in CWA events, earning his Title of Racing Proficiency, 3 ARX points and finishing #4 in Conformation for the year. Without much time on the lure coursing field, Watson ended the season with an ASFA Best of Breed in full field competition.
His winter activities include flyball, with tournaments starting in January.

Gigi finished her ASFA Field Championship in short order this year.
She also had a great time at CWA, as a puppy and adult, earning half of her TRP.
She is now revving up to begin flyball.

The New England Whippet Club, now two years old, had a very successful second season. We again hosted two WRA race meets in Stow, MA, one in May and another in August.
We are also excited to have hosted our first all breed NOTRA weekend in Stowe, VT, at the end of September. We like towns named Stowe, especially during Octoberfest!
We are looking forward to our next racing season, beginning in May with a WRA meet in Stow, MA. We are planning to move our August 5th WRA meet to Stowe, VT, and we will be adding a NOTRA meet for Sunday, August 6th. We will also have another NOTRA weekend in Stowe, VT, on September 23rd and 24th. Again Octoberfest!
