Perfect topline, elegant head, effortless movement, Bo proudly carries on the grand tradition of Gold-Dust. Shown just THREE times in 1996, Bo wowed em — winning:

AWARD OF MERIT at the Eastern Specialty under Mr. Douglas Arthur

Bo has pointed get on both the East Coast, by Ch. Gold-Dust’s Parti Favor, AND the West Coast, by Ch. Snowy Creek’s Best Bet of Bohem.

1996 found us mourning the loss of a dear friend and longtime whippet breeder, Patrick Pettit, known under the PATRIC prefix. His committment to the breed and to helping novice and established breeder alike was always in evidence. I would like to dedicate this ad to him, since it was through his patience and advice that I was able to acquire Whirlwind Patric Bred N Butr, who has been everything that he said she would be. A wonderful companion, brood bitch excellent, and the best foundation an up-and-coming breeder could hope for. Patrick was always my guardian angel and I hope that he continues to watch over me.

1996 brought us 5 new champions here at home. Ch. Blueskies Pennyroyal, SC finished his championship in January, with 3 majors (including a 4 and 5 pointer). He also specialed for a weekend, getting two BOB’s, a Group 2 and a Group 3. Ch. Blueskies Hawthorn, JC also has 3 legs toward his Senior Courser. Ch. Blueskies Burdock, JC, first time out running for his Senior Courser title, received a 3-point major in the field, along with 2 legs toward his Senior courser title. Then there is Ch. Blueskies Sweet Cicely, SC, Fch; Cecily finished her championship with 3 majors (the last one a 5-pointer), 2 BOB from the classes over multiple specials, and 2 Group placements. While she was shown, she was running in both ASFA and AKC lure coursing trials and succeeding in both, finishing her ASFA F.ch. in 4 full stake meets. Blueskies Keepsake Hasue, JC (co-owned with Kathleen Banks -Hasue Hounds) needs but a major to finish. N0t yet 18 months 01d, she has made a real splash, with judges and exhibitors alike. She loves to run and already has 2 legs toward her Senior courser title. Her mother, Ch. Morshor’s Sister Act (co-owned with Kathleen & Aubrey Banks) also finished her championship this year here at Blueskies.

1997, we hope, will be just as exciting. Butr has given us a beautiful litter, by Ch. Claymar’s Star Attraction, which looks very promising. The puppies from Ch. MLF Blueskies the Candyman, SC and Ch. Morshor’s Sister Act are just coming of age and should do very well. They are: Blueskies Keepsake Hasue, JC (major pointed), Blueskies Seal 0f Approval, Blueskies Parallel Planes, and Blueskies Shadow 0f a Doubt, JC (pointed).

(AmCanCh. Sirhan on Wings of Song x Ch. Wistwind’s Kiwi, LCM II, CanFCh.)

Louette enjoyed her trips to Canada this year. She is pictured
winning BOB at the Whippet Club of Eastern Canada’s
Specialty, under Mr. Nev Newton (Nevedith-England). The day
before, at the Great Lakes Whippet Club Specialty, she was
RWB under Iva Cottrell-Kimmelman. In the fall, she completed
her Can.FCh* by taking a first in a very competitive stake.
Louette topped off the year (in the U.S.) by going WB/BOW
under Max Magder at the Western Reserve Kennel Club for a 3-
point major. Hopefully, in ‘97 she can find that second major in
the U.S. and 2 single points in Canada, to complete her
conformation championships. In the meantime, she will continue
coursing toward her LCM title.

* pending CKC approval

(Drake x Wistwind’s Twinkle, LCM, CanFCh.)

Our talented Rosebud continues her winning ways.
• She completed her breed championship in the U.S.
• WB for a 4-pt major in Canada under Jan Buchanan at the Hamilton KC, in conjunction with the Ontario Sighthound Specialty. This was her second major in Canada and gives her a total of 9 points.
• In stiff competition, she racked up two Ists and approximately 150 Canadian lure coursing points, to the point of needing only one 1st to complete her Can.FCh.X title!
• Best in Field winner of the annual Allegheny Derby in Oct in PA.
• We hope Rose will display more talent in the whelping box in ‘97.

(Drake x Wistwind’s Elite, FCh.)

Our youngster, Fiona has also had a fun year. She was WB/BOW
for 2 pts under Kent Delaney in the spring. In June, she was Best in
Sweeps under Cora Miller the day after the Eastern Specialty. In
the fall, she picked up a placement and 40 Canadian lure coursing
points. She was BOB over top 10 competition in Maryland to
complete her American FCh. and has already accumulated points
toward her LCM. She looks forward to a fun-filled ‘97 of showing
and coursing.

On a sad note, we mourn the loss of our Wistwind’s Morning Glory, CD, LCM, ROMX,
“Pumpkin”, who was the queen of the house.

Maggie. aka “The Mags”, was bred to
Ch. Rhode Paved With Gold
(AmCanCh. Chelsea Bulgari, JC x
Ch. Albelarm Esprit of Saxon Shore)
for her last litter, whelped on Christmas
Day ‘96. Our two stars from Maggie’s
Christmas Day ‘95 litter, by Ch. Topaz
Jazz Singer, are pictured below. Dash
has 8 points, 1 major. Ballad has several
major reserves.

Our main offering for 1996 is our lovely blue-fawn bitch with the DARK EYES. We are very proud of Stella’s major wins (including this 5-point major under noted breeder-judge Christy Nelson-Evans), as well as her “fan club” of breeders here in the east. It is very gratifying that “everyone loves Stella”.

(Ch.Whippletree’s Raisin Cain x Ch. Spectre White Hot, ROM)

1996 found “Sissy” 11 years old, scratching her nest on the waterbed and a ROMX producing dam.

Sissy whelped three litters, consisting of 20 puppies total. She has 1 0 champions.

Now this a dam of distinction. Her impact is profound.

Sissy has won Best Brood Bitch at:

• 1990 AWC National Specialty
• 1991 SCWA Independent Specialty.
• 1988 / 1991 AWC Western Regional Specialty.

We wish to give a tribute to our grand matriarch. Enjoy her heritage on the following pages.

Litter #1 sired by BIS Ch. Shilo's Houdini V Hasue, FCh, ROM*
6 puppies whelped

Ch. Chelsea
Legerdemain, FCh.

“Chad” was our first Field Champion, thanks to Gary and Sue Harwell-Harris. He is a gorgeous dog with a perfect male head with big black eyes. His most impressive accomplishment was siring the 1996 AWC National Specialty winning SBIS & BIS Ch. Patric’s Personal Agenda.
Select Ch.
Chelsea Mesmorize

“Dillon” was was Sissy’s first champion. A beautiful, shapely dog. He is in the pedigree of many of the nation’s top winners, most notable being BIS Ch. Sporting Fields Jazz Fest. Dillon is his great- grandfather.

Ch. Chelsea Deception
A beautiful bitch, but never bred.

Chelsea Incantation
Injured after winning BOS at a very competitive Sweepstakes. He never finished, but has gone on to sire beautiful champions on the east coast.

*Qualified

Litter #2 sired by Whippoorwill Moonstone, ROM 9 puppies whelped

Certainly “Drake” needs no further introduction. He, too, earned his ROMX status in 1996. He is probably Sissy's most famous accomplishment.

“Dovey” possesses the very same impressive ground covering stride as her famous brother, Drake. She is a multiple Group winner, as well.

“Lizzy” is a worthy champion and a wonderful brood bitch. Her claim to fame is producing SBIS Ch. Festiva’s Knickerbocker.

Ch. Oxford's Stetson

“Dodger” won his first major at the prestigous Santa Barbara KC. He possesses the heart melting doe-like expression whippets are known for.

Litter #3 sired by SBIS Ch. Festiva's Knickerbocker
5 puppies whelped

Ch. Oxford Chelsea
Genuine Risk

“Katie” is a substantial moving machine. Look for her first litter of 2 puppies to hit the ring in 1997.

Ch. Chelsea Oxford Sunday Silence, JC
(left) “Christie” is a blast! While her exhuberance for life may be trying at times, her fast “finish” wasn’t — owner- handled all the way. Her first effort at motherhood resulted in 1996 AWC National Specialty Best In Futurity winner, Heavens Above de Sud. This litter also produced SBIS Ch. Golden Rule de Sud, BOB at the Greater Chicago Whippet Club’s first specialty.

This handsome man is proving himself to be a great producer for breeder Stacy Davis (O'Baillie).

(Ch. Gold Dust Joint Venture, ROM x AmCanCh. Allerei ‘s Ain’t Misbehavin, ROM)

Striker is proving to be a stud dog with merit. He is very proud of his 1996 champions and major pointed children:
Ch. Festiva’s Thunder Ball (multiple Group winiier)
Ch. Diamonds Are Forever
Ch. Festiva’s Moon Raker
Ch. Windborn’s Strike A Pose
Oxford’s Striking Impression (major pointed)
Galewind Lambay’s Aspen (major pointed)
