In June he went to the AWC Eastern Speciaty in PA, where he was awarded a thrilling SBIS over 147 under Mr. Douglas Arthur. He went on to a Group 2. Watch for his kids in 1992. |

WISTWIND'S ELITE
(Eli x Ch. Wistwind's Dazzle, LCM, Can.F.Ch.)
At the age of 20 months, Elite has already led an exciting life. Not only is she ASFA pointed, a SBISweepstakes winner over 145 (in 1990), but in very limited showing, she has 10 points, both majors. Elite was third in the BBE class at the AWC National in St. Louis. she won the Bred-By class at the Eastern Specialty in June, under Mr. Arthur, and went on to WB and BOW for her second major. At the Midwest Specialty in Ravenna, Ohio, in August, Elite also won the highly competitive Bred-By-Exhibitor class. She looks forward to more fun in 1992.
Eli's niece, and Elite's cousin, Ch.* Wistwind's Kiwi, LCM, Can.F.Ch., completed her LCM in September by going BOB at the Region 6 Invitational held at Ravenna field. Kiwi completed her Championship* in December at Richland Kennel Club in Ohio by going WB over 22 under Margaret Swayze.

1991 was an exciting year for the whippets of Kinvara - topped off by this double win at Westchester Kennel Club. Martha was Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best of Opposite Sex for a major that finished her championship. Her kennelmate Murphy was Winners Dog. Murphy also covered himself in glory by winning his Sweeps class at the Midwest Supported Entry under Calvin Perry and going Second in Open Dog under Barbara Rupert. He also won his Sweeps class at the Eastern Specialty under Donna Lynch.
They are not shown often because of their duties running a thoroughbred horse farm in Pennsylvania , along with Diggy, Paris St. Andrews Lady Di. The gang will have to sit on the sidelines again this year, while I finish my college studies. But when I do get to the shows, I am always proud of the results. A litter by Martha and Murphy is planned for January.

(AmCanCh. Allerei's Cabin Fever, LCM x Polar Bear finished his AKC championship on October 5, 1991 under Mrs. Loraine Boutwell, the same judge his sire finished under three years ago. Polar Bear finished with three majors and four major reserves. Thank you judges; Mrs. June Penta, Mr. Alexander C. Schwartz Jr., Dr. Robert Berndt, Mrs. Thomas Powers, Mr. Roland Adameck and Mrs. Loraine Boutwell for the compliments and points you gave him.

Mabel's best friend Alcyon Avonlea (Ch. Allerei's Cabin Fever, LCM x Alcyon Audrey) is currently tending a beauiful litter of eight sired by Specialty and Select winner Ch. Wistwind's Eli, LCM II.

July - Whippet extravaganza weekend at Brush Prairie, WA AWC Support

October - Canada weekend, Emily wins Best Puppy in Hound Group both days and goes BOW, BOB over Specials and wins the Hound Group under R. Webb
November - WWWA's first "A" match, under Karen Bowers Lee, Emily goes Best in Match
Others at Whimsy have had fun this year also. Am.Can.Ch. Killea Day Bright finished her Championship in January, and her daughter, Ch. Whimsy's Chantilly Lace, finished under Betty Stites at the AWC support show in July. Whimsy's Amazing Grace has been garnering points on both sides of the border, both in the field and on the bench, and needs only a major to finish. Am.Can.Ch. Strebor's West Wind Drift finished both Championships this year; Gabe was bred by Whimsy and Chas. Roberts (Strebor). And last, but certainly not least, Am.Can.Ch. Whimsy's Top Gun's daughter, Camelot's Desert Storm, goes Best in Sweeps at WWWA's first A match under Norma Dobbs. Stormy is owned by Whimsy.
