Allie is shown above with her best buddy, David Samuelson and Judge Ramon McNulty as she finishes her AKC Championship on February 24, 1990. I want to express my appreciation for the help Mary Beth and David have given me. We have now thrown away Allie's show lead and she can spend the rest of her life running around a race track and sleeping under the covers. We will try to finish her Field Championship in 1991. She has 2 second places and 57 points toward that goal. Allie is the second pup of this litter to finish their AKC Championship. She follows Ch. Marial's Palmeridge White Bear and is the second of Nekoosa's pups to finish.
Brandy, shown above with Mary Beth and breeder-judge Carol Willumsen, completed her AKC Championship on November 25, 1990. We are very proud of Brandy and would like to thank the judges who awarded her
Brandy is also a Grade A racer on the NPR track and finishes 1990 with 6 ARM points. Brandy is the first bitch in Minnesota history to be ARM pointed. We would like to congratulate Brandy's littermates on their accomplishments in 1990: Marial's Palmeridge Duke (Rob Corner family) - ARM pointed Marial's Palmeridge Auburn (Larry Whittman) - ARM pointed Marial's Palmeridge Princeton, C.D. (Connie Austin/Uly James) - C.D. title Brandy will be bred in spring/summer 1991 to Wistwind Eli, LCM II, CanFCh. Brandy is the third of Nekoosa's pups to finish their AKC Championship.
(Ch. Plumcreek Chase Manhattan x Ch. White Acres Tosca) This lovely Chase son is out of a Chimney Swift daughter. His first points came from the puppy classes under Dr. John Shelton and Dr. Shelton gave us the honor of awarding him his final points with a Best of Breed over specials at 21 months of age. Type-wise, Hobbes is a very smooth and flowing dog with a large, dark eye. His movement exemplifies the effortless, daisy clipping gait correct for the breed, without any tendency towards exaggeration. Breeder /Owners
Luke, in very limited showing, has achieved 24 Bests of Breed, one Best in Show, eight Group 1, four Group 2, three Group 3, and three Group 4. Of those Breeds, two are at Sup ported Entries, BOB at Ontario Sighthound Specialty (on this day he also won Best in Sweeps all-Breed), and 3 American Bests in Sweeps. Thank you to all the breeders for the ultimate compliment of sending their bitches to Luke.

(Ch. Petti's Sir Fredrick, ARM x Turtle of Destiny) Duchess finished her A.R.M. at 5 years 10 1/2 months of age. During her racing career, she consistently placed in the top ten and was one of the top ten females in the nation. Duchess, pictured here on her 12th birthday, still enjoys an occasional race meet and continues to astound us with her box-break ing ability. As the resident puppy trainer in St. Louis, she looks forward to schooling all puppies, including her future grandchildren. As is evident in the following pages, Duchess' offspring have shown they have inherited her heart, speed, and love of racing. Duchess is very proud of the litters she has produced with: Ridgerunner Toast to Toro, A.R.M. - "Augie" Lyth York, A.R.M., O.R.C. - " York" From her litter with Augie, 3 of the 4 offspring are Champions and are truly examples of the versatile whippet, having excelled in all activities. From her litter with York, all 5 offspring are exceptional racers and are a true reflection of both their parents.
(Ridgerunner Toast to Toro, ARM x Duchess of Intrigue, ARM) RIALCEL'S ALLEGRO PRELUDE, LCM, ORC, CD- "Katie" Katie is Duchess' first multi-titled offspring. She is the first female from the East Coast to finish her ORC and is also show pointed. Thanks to Meg Glenn, her owner, for a loving home and the chance to excel at so many activities. RIALCEL'S CASINO SKYLINE, ARM- "Sky" Sky is Duchess' first ARM titled offspring. She is also ORC and Field Championship pointed. On 6/30/90, Sky showed that she has what it takes to be a champion by finishing 5th out of 50 entrants in J.R.R. NPR at the age of 6 1' 2. Sky will take part of 1991 off from racing to be bred to NPR and NOTRA meet winner, Lyth Thorpe of Chaparral, ARM, ORC. RIALCEL'S ON THE ROAD AGAIN, F.CH.- "Tanker" Tanker finished his Field Championship in 3 trials with a record of 2 firsts and 1 second, and taking the Best of Breed at one of these trials. He is also ARM and ORC pointed and will begin to look to the obedience ring in late 1991.

Debating whether to return to racing, pursue an obedience title, or convince whippet fanciers there should be a new title - "Champion Couch Potato". RIALCEL'S JESTER OF BANDANA- "Jesse" 2 ARM points since return to track after suffering a broken leg. Looking toward a successful racing career and the challenge of the obedience ring in the near future. Our thanks to Ann and Bill McMath for their loving home and perseverance in dealing with Jesse's injury and his renewed racing career.
(Fox Run's Flyingbolt, LCM x Sundance Where's Ziggy) We are proud as can be of our first ARM winner, from our first litter. Highway is a handsome 21 12" black brindle male, who is very aggressive for the lure, yet sweet and mild in temperament. A Grade 'A' racer, he placed second twice this year and has just started his NOTRA career, placing fifth FTE in a meet featuring four of the top ten nationally ranked racers. Highway wishes to congratulate his sisters on their accomplishments ... SHORELINE
Racing was a lot of fun for us this past year and especially so when you can earn a few racing titles along the way. We were fortunate enough to have three dogs earn titles this year, each in a different field of racing. QUEENIES MISTER CONTENDER, ARM finished his ORC this past year making him Missouri's first to achieve both ARM and ORC titles, along with maintaining himself as an "A" dog on both tracks. He is our first dog to earn either race title and we've been very proud of his accomplish ments. RIALCEL'S QUEEN OF YORK finally showed us what we always knew she had in her and did finish her ARM title at the last meet of the year. A special thanks to Pam LeClair and Sue Weilbacher for their help with " Tracy". And Tracy wishes to congratulate her sister "Wiggle", Rialcel's Duchess of York, on completing her ARM title earlier this year. We also have an older dog who we re-introduced to lure coursing, RIDGE RUNNER'S SHO N'UFF, who earned his FCH in the spring of this year. There's one other person we'd like to mention. Over the past two years, two dogs have come our way via California , "Rosie" in the spring of '89, and more recently "Zorro" late in the fall of '90. Both have been a joy and are loved very much. Thank you, Kim!!! In closing, it's been a fun year and we'll be looking forward to seeing everyone out there at it again next year. QUEENIES WHIPPETS RON and CHERI BOUTELLE

We rest in December with a Christmas party for people and a special party for the dogs where they can socialize and have their pictures taken with Santa.
Western Washington State, a part of the Pacific Northwest, is nestled between two mountain ranges, bordered by Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by beautiful rivers. We invite you to subscribe to our newsletter, Whippet Tales, attend some of our events and vacation with us. During 1990 our match entries always exceeded 35, and the last one, judged by Dr. Barbara Henderson, topped at 60 dogs. Our straight race and NOTRA attendance never fell below 32 and our lure coursing entries were as high as 65, with frequent double stakes in Whippets. Our racing events attract top Whippets from the West Coast and Canada. So come out and challenge us!! WE ARE HIGH ON HOSPITALITY!!
1990 was a year of Joy - as we congratulated the following new titlests (new titles are underlined): (Ch. Chelsea Mesmorize x SBIS Am.Can.Ch. Allerei's Ain't Misbehavin FCH.): (Ch. Lidemara's Moonshadow x Ch. Savannah): (Ch. Highlight Bold'N Spectacular x Ch. Savannah): (Can.Ch. Swiftsure Happy Daze, ARM, FCh. x Ch. Savannah - bred by Buchholz/Bowers): (Ch. Bold'N Spectacular x Ch. S.H.'s Modern Times): (Ch. Houston, FCh., ROMX x AmCanCh. Surrey Hill's I'm No Angel, F.Ch.): And a year of Sadness: We lost our first Whippet - an outstanding sire and good friend - Whippoorwill Moonstone. At a robust 11, he decided to tackle a giant rattlesnake. Stoney lives on in the above titleholders (they are all his descendents), and in outstanding producing sons and daughters.
