CH. HUMBLE ACRES JET AWAY C.D. P.C.C.

Whelped 10/1/64
Sire: Ch. Lysander of Briskways
Dam: Ch. Whipoo's Tar Heel
Breeder: Humble Acre's Kennels
Owner: Arthur & Helena La Barr

Jet became an A.K.C. Show Champion at the age of 16 months - one of a litter of 8 - all champions.

He completed his C.D. in three straight trials, just missing a Dog World award, and he became a Coursing Champion in 1968. Jet is a tremendous courser with a lot of speed. His temperament is ideal. At 7 years old he is still sturdy, well muscled and anxious to run and hunt. Jet is once again in obedience, working towards his CDX, and his owners plan on having him do some coursing as a veteran.

CANYON CREEK GREMLIN P.C.C. 12/6/68

Sire: Epinard's El Cid
Dam: Epinard's Georgy Girl
Breeder: Lynnette Underwood
Owners: James & Ann Sweeney

He earned his name by his ingenious ability to get into trouble and because of his mischievous personality. With one exception he has coursed well enough in every meet in which he was entered to be in the finals. His day of glory came on February 6, 1971. It was on that day that he completed the requirements for his PCC. He tied for high scoring Whippet of the 1970-1971 coursing season. He is also the sixth high scoring Whippet of all time. He is approaching three years old and is just coming into his prime. He now has two seasons of experience to go with his speed, power and agility. I suspect that before he "hangs up" his slip lead, there will be many more points added to his total.

Gremlin is also an experienced racer and has flawless movement winning or placing high in all movement classes he's entered in.

Tercial was a medium sized blue whippet with great strength and coursing ability on the field. His coursing career was cut short due to his owners illness.

(Unable to get Tercials photo due to owners death and family moving from area.)

WHIRLAWAY'S APACHE P.C.C. A.R.M.

Sire: Ch. Hollypark Red Cloud of Suntan
Dam: Syndicated Ruby Paint Pot
Breeder:
Owner: Carroll Hayhurst

Apache won his Coursing Championship on February 1971. He was only entered in 9 coursing meets in his coursing career. He was also N.B.Q. in one of these meets. Apache was beaten in Grand Course of 1970 by 1st place dog which was a greyhound, 2nd place a saluki. In his mixed courses he ran against salukis in preliminaries and finals.

Apache was the second whippet in the U.S.A. to win both his P.C.C. and A.R.M. title. The first was Bardon Sara Lawrence, P.C.C. and A.R.M.

S.C.W.A. 3/8/69 4O pts.

Club 2/6/71 40 pts. & kill

SHERIDAN VENETIAN WAY PCC Am. & Can.

Sire: Ch. Hollypark's Just Plain George
Dam: Bardon Fawn Phaedra
Breeder: Dr. John Shelton
Owner: Jerry Grimmett

Current Open Field Coursing enthusiasts know Camille as "Wonder Dog", & "The tiniest coursing whippet". She began her coursing career at 5 months of age, running with 2 Borzoi and 2 greyhounds in the fields near Dixon, Ca. There still is no definite explanation for her unusual endurance in running, the longest course in the

records of the Open Field Coursing Association is 5 minutes and 20 seconds -Camille's course. Camille was one of three tied for High Scoring Whippet of the 1970-71 Coursing Season, and the OFCA Records Committee Chairman lists her among the top ten coursing whippets of record.

Born April 6, 1971, Camille won her first field coursing ribbon at 9 months of age, in a mixed breed puppy stake, and became a Pacific Coursing Champion when she was only 1 year and 10 months old. A beautiful, extremely sound white bitch with fawn markings, Camille measures 19" at the shoulder, weighs 22 pounds, has a 21" brisket, and is 17 1/2" from shoulder to tail.

Camille's sprint speed, not so fast as some good coursing whippets, is counteracted by her consistency and fantastic endurance. Many people have seen her running at the same constant pace more than 3 minutes after being slipped on a fast jackrabbit. She has one problem however, accounted for by her size, the actual kill is not always as quick as possible, without assistance.

A real pleasure to live with, Camille is quiet, bubbles with her coy personality, and has shown the world that a small sized whippet can really do the thing for which she was meant.

BARDON SARA LAWRENCE A.R.M. P.C.C.,C.

Sire: Stoney Meadow's Epic
Dam: Eyleland Stoney Meadow's Sara
Breeder: Donald & Barbara Frames
Owners: Mickey & Lynne Underwood, Epinard Whippets

Sara has always proved himself to be a clean, strong and fast running dog under any racing conditions. He would break fast to have that long clear running room. If he got caught in the pack he would not shoulder his way through, instead he would drop back, causing his owner a few added tense moments, owing to the side and he was off for the finish line. Bardon Sara Lawrence is one of the true Racing Champions. He has competed with the best racing whippets in the U.S.A. and Canada and has beaten the best. Sara was one of two Whippets from the west to ever win the Chicago International Races.

Sara was the first A.R.M. Whippet to get his P.C.C. Championship. Sara has the qualities that make a fine coursing hound, that is speed, endurance and the big desire to chase and catch the bunny.

Louis Pegram: "Sara ran impressive races along the entire Pacific Coast Circuit and was a most consistent winner when campaigned in the midwest."

EPINARD'S SHELBY OF WYNDSOR A.R.M.

Sire: Can. Ch. Emberson of Course A.R.M.
Dam: Eyleland Hannah
Breeder: Lynnette Underwood
Owners: Vincent & Jean Balint

Shelby is another outstanding member of "Thee" litter sired by Can. Ch. Emberson of Course and Eyleland Hannah.

Shelby began his coursing career at the age of 1 year and accumulated 60 points in his first season, and in the first course of the 1971 1972 season earned another 30 points, giving him a total of 90 points - leaving him with only a total of 10 points in a mixed hunt to finishing his Coursing Championship.

This exciting young dog also excels in the racing world and finished his A.R.M. Championship in only 3 months of competition.

Another field in which he performs well is the obedience ring. In his first show he earned 190 to qualify for his first leg for the C.D. title, and earned his second leg at the recent Oakland Kennel Club Show, where he also placed fourth in conformation. It is hoped we will see Shelby become one of the first all-round Championship Whippets.

COVENTRY SAILOR OF REGALSTOCK
Sire: Stoney Meadow's Epic
Dam: Am. & Can. Ch. Sing'n Little Blue Girl
Breeder: Marilyn Barlow
Owner: David Rosenstock

Snuffy was born December 1967, is 22-1/4 " at withers, 36 lbs. - a grade A racer and proven sire.

At the NCWFA coursing meet (his first meet ever) Snuffy was 3rd. He was also 3rd at the SCWA meet, and at the Grand Course (1971) he made the finals and placed 11th over all. He
has 40 points toward his Coursing Champion title.

EPINARD'S SHAY OF HANNAH
Sire: Can. Ch. Emberson of Course A.R.M.
Dam: Eyleland Hannah
Breeder: Lynnette Underwood
Owners: Mickey & Lynne Underwood

Shay is another outstanding member of "Thee" litter. 'He began his Coursing career in the 1970-1971 season by acquiring 40 points in two Coursing meets. So far with his extreme speed and strength he has coursed well enough to make the finals of every coursing meet he has been entered in. We are looking forward to the 1971-72 season where this strong young dog will be compet ing against his litter mates and some of the finest coursing dogs in California to try to finish his 0.F.C.A. Championship. He most definitely will have to try hard with the competition he will have to face. We are sure he can do it.

EPINARD'S CANYON CREEK CIRCE

Sire: Can. Ch. Emberson of Course A.R.M.
Dam: Eyleland Hannah
Breeder: Lynnette Underwood
Owners: James & Ann Sweeney

Circe is another outstanding member of "Thee" litter sired by Canadian Ch. Emberson of Course and Eyleland Hannah,
top racing bitch 1050's-1960's. Circe's running career didn't begin until she was 15 months old, so being a late starter, she had to do some fast running to catch up to her illustrious litter mates.

Among her accomplishments in the coursing field was a first place in an open mixed stake in competition with all other sight-
hound breeds. This is extremely hard to do - a first place is roughly equivalent to a Best in Show. A further accomplishment was to attain N.B.Q. running with a broken toe.

Her last accomplishment was to run with and tie Heidi, the greyhound in the Grand Course. Heidi was the top winning courser of the 1970-71 season and 2nd highest scoring hound of the previous season, but at some point in her run with Heidi, Circe broke another toe and had to be withdrawn from further competition. This fall Circe will return to the field to continue the winning ways of this litter.

Circe also has a best in Match at N.C.W.C. fun match - Marilyn Barlow judging - and consistent A.K.C. show placements.

EPINARD'S RABBIT OF HANNAH

Sire: Can. Ch. Emberson of Course A.R.M.
Dam: Eyleland Hannah
Breeder: Lynnette Underwood
Owners: Bob & Cheri Ryan

Rabbit is another outstanding member of "Thee" litter sired by Can. Ch. Emberson of Course A.R.M. out of Eyleland Hannah. Rabbit began his coursing career by attending his first Coursing meet and placing first at the N.C.W.F.A. Course in Field II for 4o points in the 1970-71 season.

We are looking forward to the 1971-72 season where this young dog will be competing against some of the finest coursing dogs to try and finish his championship.
